The month of November absolutely flew by with all of the amazing adventures that it brought. I’m always surprised by how quickly the fall season passes as we move into the winter season. As I look back on November, I can’t help but think about a few of my favorite things:

Roadtrip to Nashville

I fell in love with Nashville on the trip I took with my dearest friends to watch our beloved Gators play. The 10-hour car ride was filled with country playlists (courtesy of Paulette) and Beyonce (courtesy of Maxwell). Our first night in Nashville was spent at Tequila Cowboys, where the local Gator Club was hosting their pep rally! Blue Chomp drinks kept Paulette and I entertained while Steven and Maxwell were entertained by our pool table moves (or lack thereof).

Saturday was spent exploring the gorgeous Vanderbilt campus – check out these great pictures!

For lunch, we had the BEST fried chicken I have ever had, which is a big testament because my Gammy can make some pretty great fried chicken. With crispy, hot chicken, pimento mac-and-cheese, and greens – Hattie B’s was clucking great and worth the hour-wait.

To top off the day, we went to see our Gators chomp the Commodores with a 34-10 win! Although Vandy fans, which were both obnoxious and rude, surrounded us – we stuck it out.

And a hike at the Burgess Falls State Park was the perfect way to end our trip. The weather was absolutely perfect and the scenery gorgeous! It was absolutely breathtaking once we made it to the top of the waterfalls.

Gobble Gobble

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays because not only do I get to eat delicious food, but I also get to spend it with my family. From celebrating Thanksgiving with my residents by having our Thankful Turkey to cooking in the kitchen with my grandmothers, I try to soak in as much as possible!

This year Kev and Dad were able to take credit for the delicious turkey that we ate while my only claim to fame was making mashed potatoes! My Gammy, Nini and Mom are the true cooks of the family.

Give thanks with a grateful heart

It’s always sad to see another November come and go, but the thought of Christmas makes it a little better!
